I am a native Russian speaker and an experienced tutor. I have been teaching students for over 30 years at Universities and colleges. I am also a private tutor. Being an energetic and enthusiastic person, I motivate and challenge students. A positive learning environment is always established.

To be fluent in Russian, you must not learn only the vocabulary. The main emphasis should be on grammar. It helps the learners to communicate effectively both in speaking and writing.  My sense of humour always creates a relaxing atmosphere. I motivate students and enable them to progress from one level to another.

The tutor is located in Hornchurch, Essex. This is not far from the Hornchurch Tube station. There are good transport connections from Upminster or Romford. You can also choose to travel from Ilford and Dagenham. If you come by car, there are some free parking spaces near our location.

About my Russian Tuition

If you are a beginner, you must familiarise yourself with the Cyrillic alphabet. It is completely different from the Latin one. During the first lesson, you will learn how to write and pronounce the letters of the alphabet. Gradually, you will learn some basic grammar. After that, you will start reading the first separate words and very quickly simple sentences. Alongside reading, the accent will be on speaking and reacting to the questions. The teacher will create them for you. You will soon make good progress and start expressing your ideas and speaking on various topics.

Your aim may be to improve your knowledge of grammar because you can already speak the language. I can help you get to the more advanced level by offering you many exercises in grammar and vocabulary. You will be able to express your opinion on such topics as culture, sport and politics. You will read texts with complex grammar structures. Students also learn the format of letters, articles and blogs. They will soon be able to write them using correct spelling and grammar.
