About My One-to-One English Tuition

My method of teaching English is based on grammar. It also contains a lot of vocabulary exercises. This leads to acquiring skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing. During your lessons, we will discuss everyday topics to get by. You will learn grammar and vocabulary. In this way you will be able to discuss cultural, political and economic issues.

A very important part of our lessons is reading and understanding written texts. Certain techniques can be used to identify the main ideas in a text. You will have many exercises in finding topical sentences to do a summary of the text. Speaking is not possible without listening to other people. Various listening exercises will help you to improve your understanding of the recorded texts.

About Me

I am an experienced English tutor. I have been teaching students for 30+ years at Universities and colleges in Moscow and the UK. I also regularly teach privately. I speak fluent Russian as well.

I help students achieve good grades in the exams. Sometimes they get much higher marks than they initially hoped for. This is because I offer candidates a thorough exam preparation.

My Professional Qualifications

• Moscow Linguistic University - Diploma in Teaching Modern Foreign Languages. This is Equivalent to a British Bachelor's Degree plus.
